With 66 MW, Neoen won the largest share of the capacity awarded in the French government’s latest call for tenders

Neoen (ISIN Code: FR0011675362, ticker: NEOEN), the leading independent French producer of exclusively renewable energy, and among the most dynamic in the world, announces that it was awarded the largest share of the French state’s call for tenders in bi-technology projects involving solar and wind power. Neoen’s five solar power projects total 66 MW, a third of the capacity awarded. All five are 100% owned by Neoen, in accordance with the company’s policy.

This continued success reinforces Neon’s position as number one independent producer of solar power in France with projects that are economically competitive, in harmony with local communities and rich in innovation.

Xavier Barbaro, Chairman and CEO of Neoen, states: “We are grateful to environment minister François de Rugy, for choosing Neoen. By offering electricity below grid parity, our projects meet the goals outlined by the French President Emmanuel Macron – to reduce energy bill, reduce carbon emissions and increase the share of green energy in France.
This latest award increases our portfolio of secured projects and further boosts our confidence in meeting our goal of at least 5 GW in operation and under construction by 2021.”

The year 2018 has been particularly rewarding for Neoen’s photovoltaic business in France. To date, not counting the five projects just awarded, the company has launched ten projects for ground-mounted solar panels and sunshades totaling 85 MW. The projects are located all over France, proof that Neoen works hand-in-hand with local authorities to develop competitive projects that blend with their environment. Neoen intends to pursue growth in France with the same enthusiasm and precision over the next few years.
